100th Annual Blue Ridge Ball -- The Vintage Ball
NEW YORK-JANUARY 31:
100th Annual Blue Ridge Ball -- The Vintage Ball . On January 31st, 2009 the New York Auxiliary of the
Blue Ridge School celebrated it's 100th year in NYC at a Private Club on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
The Blue Ridge Ball is the oldest running charity ball in New York City. All proceeds from the event will be given as scholarships to boys from the NYC area (
NY Nativity School and Boys Club) in need that will send them to school for a sound college preparatory education. This year's honoree was "The Mayo Family" who founded the school. Since 1909, this organization of women has been committed to the welfare and raised funds for the Blue Ridge School in St. George, Virginia. The theme this year was "Vintage" and showcased the styles and decor of the turn of the century. Guests were encouraged to dress in the theme.
